Frequently asked questions
Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
No. Every PDF tool on this site runs in your browser on your own device — contracts, scans, and IDs never leave your computer or phone. There is no upload at all.
Is there a page or file-size limit?
No hard limit — a 300-page merge works the same as a 3-page one. Very large documents are limited only by your device’s memory, and the tool warns you honestly when a file is big enough to matter.
Do the tools change my document’s quality?
Merging and splitting copy pages exactly — nothing is re-rendered or recompressed. Image-to-PDF embeds JPG photos byte-for-byte and PNGs losslessly. Only PDF-to-JPG renders pages into pixels, because that is what an image is.
Do password-protected PDFs work?
Not directly — encrypted documents need their password to be read, so the tools report them clearly instead of failing silently. Unlock the file in your PDF reader first, then use the tool.
