Frequently asked questions
What resolution do the extracted images have?
Whatever the PDF actually stores — extraction hands you the embedded image data itself, not a screenshot of the page. If the original was placed at high resolution, that is what you get back.
Why did I get fewer images than the document seems to show?
Repeated images — logos, headers, watermarks — are extracted once instead of once per page, and decorative elements drawn as vector graphics are not images at all. What comes out is each distinct embedded picture.
Can I get the whole page as an image instead?
Yes — that is a different tool: PDF to JPG or PDF to PNG renders complete pages as images. This one pulls out the individual pictures embedded within the pages.
Is my file uploaded to a server?
